How Air Freight Pricing Works

Volumetric weight is calculated by multiplying length × width × height (in centimetres) and dividing by 6,000. Light but bulky items – furniture, packaging materials, sporting goods – often get charged on volumetric weight rather than actual weight.
A 10kg carton measuring 80cm × 60cm × 60cm has a volumetric weight of 48kg. You’re paying for 48kg, not 10kg.
