Since January 2013, there has been 0% duty on goods entering Australia from Malaysia thanks to the Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA). This is fantastic news for business between Australia and Malaysia. Your goods will, however, need to have a COO (Certificate of Origin) that has been issued by the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). If you are bringing goods into Australia from Malaysia, TSL can apply for the MITI on your behalf. This is all part of our comprehensive freight forwarding service.
